Today marks the start of National Careers Week 2021, and on their 10 year anniversary, they are hosting a Virtual Careers Fair, showcasing different areas of potential employment and opportunities to find out more about a range of career options and employers. You have the ability to engage in an interactive website resource, and day by day they focus on specific areas to find out more.

National Careers Week Lobby

Today is the turn of the Natwest Group, where you can find out more about their business, watch a video about their Early Careers programmes and listen to podcasts covering a range of topics including 'Overcoming obstacles' and 'Maximising your potential'. You can also download a copy of their School Leaver's Brochure or listen to some of their graduates tell their story about working for Natwest Group. There is also access to a Career Kickstart pack, which covers lots of useful topics.

During the week they will focus on different areas, covering Careers at Sea, Careers in Health, How to build your skills and BBC Bitesize Careers. There are handy Treasure Hunt sheets that you can download to help you navigate around the Virtual Careers Fair.

BAE Systems

Despite the current restrictions, BAE Systems are really keen to stay connected and continue to engage with young people, to help answer questions about careers, or provide an insight into the programmes they run. BAE Systems are really pleased to be part of this fantastic event and will be offering students the chance to learn more about what they do and who they are. Find out more by clicking here

STEM Ambassadors: Illuminating Careers

Young people can chat live to STEM Ambassadors from BAE Systems to ask questions or gain insight into careers in Engineering, Technology and more. The Q & A sessions run in a secure environment from 10am-11am and 2pm-3pm each day. Click here to sign up.

Generation Tempest and Factory of the Future

Two ground breaking projects will feature in the virtual careers space during National Careers Week. Visit the Generation Tempest webpage to find out more about their 'Inside the Ideas Factory' campaign, which helps to show that if you join a BAE Systems early careers scheme, you won't just be building your future, you'll be building the future.
