Welcome to our online Christmas Concert which has been put together almost entirely by our students. They have spent the last 9 weeks practicing their music in the safety of their homes ably supported by their instrumental/vocal teachers over their weekly teams lessons. A full range of ability is represented throughout the concert - some students have been preparing for exams at grade 6 level, where other students have had only 6 lessons before recording their parts.
In the concert you will hear performances from the Carr Hill Orchestra. One of our pieces, ‘The Rainbow Connection’, is a tribute to all our NHS & Key Workers who have been supporting everyone within the community throughout these challenging times. This ensemble comprises the following students and staff: Muhammed, Edward, Evie, Nathan, Dylan, Mrs Shipway, Mr Cookson and Ms Cross.
We would like to congratulate and thank the Year 10/11 sound team who have done a superb job collating the video and audio from various phones, tablets and computers using e-mail, USB and OneDrive shared files. Ethan, Nathan & Edward have shown incredible dedication and support of music at Carr Hill giving up their time willingly to ensure we could all still celebrate in style. I am sure you will all agree they are a talented group of young people who should be incredibly proud of their achievements. We would also like to say a massive thank you to our peripatetic teaching team for their continued support; Mr Boyes, Mr Cookson, Ms Donnelly, Mr Lupton, Mrs Shipway and Mrs Taylor-Fox.
Finally, we would like to wish you all a safe, Merry Christmas with your nearest and dearest and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
