Primary school children from around the area all joined together this week for an afternoon of football competition at Carr Hill's Small School Football tournament.

26 of Carr Hill PE's Sports Leaders delivered the event either referring, coaching or leading the 64 Year 5 and 6 students who took part.

The competition was rife with Weeton Reds narrowly beating Weeton Yellows 5-3, in a thrilling penalty shoot out. Singleton also played really well to secure an impressive 3rd place.

Mr Doughty, PE Teacher, said, "We really enjoy hosting these interschool events.  Not only is it a great experience for the primary children involved, it also gives our talented Sports Leaders an opportunity to hone their coaching, leading and referring skills".
