Over 20 students attended the event which took place at Preston Royal Hospital on Friday 11th December. The lecture was led by Dr Lawrence Azavedo, Consultant Anaesthetist and was open to colleges and sixth forms across the region. Carr Hill students also had the opportunity to meet current medical students and chat to them about their courses.

Mr Napier, Assistant Headteacher (Post 16),  said: “We are keen to ensure that our students have all the information they need to make the right choices for them when they leave the sixth form. Lectures such as this one give our students a wider understanding of the different carers available to them. The sorts of information provided ensures they understand the routes in which they can follow to gain the qualifications and experience needed to succeed in their chosen field. As a sixth form we continually offer our students the opportunity to attend events, lectures and other activities, opening their eyes to the host of career opportunities on offer.”
