History A-Level encourages you to understand and think intelligently about aspects of modern history. It involves much more than just learning vast amounts of factual information. There is a lot to learn but most students drawn to this subject find attempting to understand, evaluate and analyse the past most rewarding.
Progression
Students who study A-Level History have access to a wide range of career and Higher Education opportunities as the skills acquired are recognised and valued. A-Level History combines well with Science and Maths to be part of a Science-based course and combined with English and Modern Foreign Languages could lead to an Arts or Language based degree.Careers include Teaching, Journalism, Law, Business, Politics, Management, Archivist, and Librarian.
