Girls’ Football team strike out at PNE

9 May 2017

Students from Years 7 and 8 recently took part in a EURO 2017 girls’ football competition organised by local club Preston North End in light of the women’s Euro Championships this summer.

Held at North End, the girls had the privilege of playing on the pitch.  PE teacher Mr Doughty said, “the girls were superb as always and a credit to the school. We had two equal strength teams and Team 1 came 3rd place, only losing on penalties”.

Year 7 student Cloe said, “Each team was given a country to represent and we were Belgium.  We painted our faces and wore ribbons in their colours.  Playing at PNE with my friends on the team was a great experience”.
