Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre students benefit from ESCAYPS (Emergency Services Community and Young Persons Safety) course.

Year 12 and 13 students at Carr Hill Sixth Form Centre have been taking part in ESCAYPS (Emergency Services Community and Young Persons Safety) -a six week course based at Wesham Fire Station. Run in partnership by two local Firefighters and a Police Community Support Officer, the programme looks to provide coaching and develop traits such as teamwork, discipline and respect by encouraging self-respect and belief.

After being named secondary school of the year at the Fylde Sports Awards, Carr Hill High School automatically went through to the next level of the awards where they were named amongst the best schools in Lancashire.

Students help injured member of the Kirkham community

A group of Year 11 boys have been personally thanked by the daughter of an elderly lady who had a fall in Kirkham town centre. The boys were praised by the lady’s daughter after they called an ambulance, covered her up with their coats, made sure she had her purse and other belongings and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived.
