Students raise £9,500 for charity in 2016

In 2016 our students have raised over £9,500 for a variety of causes including Cardiac Risk in the Young, Sport Relief, Brian House Hospice, Mission4Water and the Friends of the Hwange Trust.

Carr Hill student is successful at Junior Great Britain Squad Trials

11 January 2017

Year 9 Alice was one of eight girls, aged between 13 and 16 years old, to be selected for Great Britain. Alice will hold her initial place until the end of March and then faces a re-selection process which, it successful, is likely to lead to her competing internationally for Great Britain.

Carr Hill Sixth Formers graduate from ESCAYPS (Emergency Services Community and Young Persons Safety) course

Five Sixth Form student graduated from the course which looks to provide coaching and develop traits such as teamwork, discipline and respect by encouraging self-respect and belief. The course is based at Wesham Fire Station and is run in partnership by two local Firefighters and a Police Community Support Officer.

Year 11 Achievement Awards

Photo Credit: Year 13, Emily The students, who were in Year 11 during the 2015-2016 academic year, were joined by proud parents, carers, family and friends for an evening of awards celebrating their GCSE year. The event recognised every student in Year 11 with each person receiving a certificate to congratulate them on completing their GCSE exams.

Students Launch school TV Channel

Report by Year 13, Jack Carr Hill High School and Sixth Form Centre has launched its very own student news channel, called CHTV! The show has been in development since October and the first episode can now be viewed through the school website and social media accounts now.
