Parents, carers and students are encouraged to take part in Lancashire Mind’s ‘Whole School Approach’ survey to help Carr Hill identify the areas where wellbeing and mental health could be improved across the school community for all who are a part of it.

Over 300 students have already completed a survey as part of the school’s ‘Wellbeing Challenge’ and the students leading the challenge will shortly look at the results and begin planning and building a wellbeing asset to support the school community. Alongside this, the Whole School Approach, survey is open to staff, students, parents and carers and will provide the school with a wider picture of wellbeing across all groups.

A link to the parent Whole School Approach survey can be found on this week’s eletter. Students have been emailed by Mrs Bateson with a link to the survey and the survey will a be found on Show My Homework by Friday 4th October. The survey will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete and the results of this survey and the information given will be sent to national Mind. The results will be analysed and the data returned will help Lancashire Mind representatives, school staff, students and parents and carers to create a series of wellbeing and mental health activities to benefit the whole school community.

The results of the staff, student and parents and carers’ surveys will be discussed at the first Action Planning Groups on Tuesday 19th November. The school is currently looking for staff, student and parents and carers to form these groups and help to shape wellbeing for the school community. If you would like to participate in one of these groups please see Mrs Bateson in reprographics or email ebateson@carrhill.lancs.sch.uk for more information.

Lancashire Mind is holding assmeblies for all year groups over the next week to provide students with further information about the Whole School Approach.
