MOBILE PHONE AND INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING HAS NOW STARTED IN SCHOOL - PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS AND SUPPORT THIS FUNDRAISING EFFORT!!!!!

We are a small group of parents and staff who meet once per half term to raise funds for the benefit of Carr Hill High School.
New ideas for fund raising always welcome.During the last school year we donated almost £6500 to various departments to provide new equipment. Items purchased include:

Partial funding of a new piano for the Music Department
New computer screens for the Learning Resource Centre
Equipment for the Art Department
An interactive whiteboard for the ICT Department
Equipment for the Drama, PE, Careers and Biology Departments

300 CLUB

We run a 300 Club with monthly prizes . 1st prize £50 2nd prize £20 3rd prize £10

Cost is only £1 per month payable by standing order. Download a copy of our standing order form and return it to the address on the form or hand it in to the school office.

 PENCIL CASES

We will again be selling pencil cases at the New Year 7 parents evening on 12th July 2010.  The cost of a pencil case, contents and ruler is only £6.  To purchase all these items separately on the high street would cost you at least £10.  So save some money and support the Friends in the process!!!

MOBILE PHONE RECYCLING & INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING

The Friends are pleased to announce that recycling of mobile phones and ink cartridges has now started.  We are registered with a company called Recycool.  Recycool accept most types of mobile phones and ink cartridges.  For a full list visit their website www.recycool.org  There are some items which are not acceptable - these include broken and damaged items, toner bottles, ribbon cartridges, Epson ink-jet cartridges and Canon ink tanks, mobile phone cases and chargers, pagers and other electronic equipment.  Collection boxes have been placed around school including near the main entrance.  PLEASE PLEASE SUPPORT THIS FUNDRAISING EFFORT!!!!

RAFFLE PRIZES

A major part of our fundraising work involves providing refreshments and running raffles at school events.  We always need items to raffle.  Would you be able to support our work by donating a prize for a future event?  Please drop any items to the school office for the Friends to collect.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS

The Friends will be running raffles at the College Presentation Evenings on 28th June and 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th July.  We will also be  running a raffle and selling refreshments at the Enrichment Showcase Evening on 13th July.  Please support our work by purchasing a raffle ticket!!!
